Learning from China's Success in Reducing Poverty

学习借鉴中国脱贫攻坚成功经验

As part of my official visit to China, I had the opportunity to tour the villages of Ping’anpo and Nanyou in Yunnan Province, where I saw firsthand the incredible progress China has made in reducing poverty and improving the lives of its people.

作为我对中国正式访问的行程之一，我有机会到访了云南省平安坡村和南油村。在那儿我亲眼目睹了中国在脱贫攻坚和改善人民生活方面取得的巨大成效。

These villages have transformed over the past 32 years through innovative programs focused on agriculture, aquaculture, and community projects. I was deeply impressed by the success of these initiatives and the commitment of the Chinese government to lift its people out of poverty.

在过去的32年里，两所村庄通过重点发展农业、水产养殖和集体经济等创新型产业而产生蜕变。这些脱贫举措所取得的成效以及中国政府为实现人民脱贫的决心给我留下了深刻的印象。

Fiji has much to learn from China's approach, especially as we work towards improving livelihoods, ensuring food security, and promoting sustainable rural development in our own country. By adopting some of these strategies, we can accelerate our efforts to reduce poverty and create better opportunities for all Fijians.

My visit to Yunnan Province has been an eye-opener, showing us how even small changes can lead to big improvements for our communities. I congratulate President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leaders for their vision and dedication to improving the lives of people in rural areas.

This visit is about bringing back valuable lessons to Fiji, and I'm committed to applying what l've learned to benefit our nation.

中国在脱贫攻坚事业上所采取的诸多举措值得斐济学习和借鉴，特别是我们正处在致力于改善民生、保障食品安全和促进国内农村可持续发展过程中，通过采取一些中国做法，我们可以加快减贫进程，为斐济人民创造更好的机会。

通过访问云南省，我们眼界大开，我们见证了即使是微小的变化也能为我们带来巨大的改善。我对习近平主席以及其他中国领导人在改善中国农村地区人民生活的远见卓识和奉献精神表示祝贺。

此次访问是为了给斐济带回宝贵的经验，我致力于将我所见所闻应用于造福我们的国家。
